CONCRETE MIXER TRAILERS Most cargo waits. Concrete doesn't. It begins hardening the moment it leaves the batching plant, which gives a load a working life of roughly ninety minutes — and makes the trailer part of the production process rather than just the transport. That's why the drum turns. Continuous slow rotation keeps the mix homogeneous and stops the aggregate separating from the cement paste before it reaches the pour. A hydraulically driven drum, a water tank for washout, and discharge chutes make the trailer a self-contained delivery unit. A mixer semi-trailer carries a larger volume per trip than a rigid truck mixer, which is what makes distant sites and large continuous pours economic. Used for: ready-mix supply to construction sites, infrastructure projects, foundations and slabs, and sites too far from the plant for smaller vehicles.
