A standard flatbed trailer gives operators an open, practical and efficient loading platform. Cargo can be loaded from the top, sides or rear, making the trailer suitable for mixed freight operations where speed and accessibility are important. With a strong welded I section chassis, configurable axle brands and bespoke braking and suspension options, the STU Standard Flatbed Trailer is built to match different route conditions, fleet standards and service networks.
The flat, unobstructed deck allows fast loading and unloading of steel, pallets, machinery, timber, construction materials and cargo in containers by specification. This makes the trailer suitable for operators handling different cargo types on the same route network.
The welded I section mainframe is manufactured from ST52 / S355J2+N structural steel of high strength. The chassis is designed for demanding daily haulage, stable load distribution and long service life under demanding road conditions.
The trailer can be configured as a flatbed semi trailer with 2 to 5 axles depending on payload requirements, market regulations and operational preferences. The configuration with 3 axles is the classic choice for large volume general freight and 13.60 m platform applications.
Air suspension is preferred for comfort, cargo protection and stable performance over long distances. Mechanical leaf spring suspension can be selected for markets that prioritise simpler running gear, service familiarity and straightforward maintenance.
Axle brands, braking systems, deck equipment, lashing points, twist locks, lifting axle options and RAL colour can be configured according to customer requirements, local regulations and availability of spare parts.

Every system engineered for compliance, safety, and low operating cost.
Available in configurations with 2 to 5 axles. SAF / BPW / TRAX axle brands configurable by market specification.
Air suspension maintains constant ride height and distributes load evenly. Leaf spring option available for simpler maintenance requirements.
Disc or drum brake configuration available. EBS (Wabco / Knorr-Bremse) for electronic force distribution and stability.
Complete LED lighting suite for road compliance and operational visibility.

Deck and equipment tailored to your cargo, securing method, and regional requirements.
Lifting axle available to reduce tyre wear and fuel consumption when running unladen.
